The recent debutant in the 1st race on Saturday the 1st of September (in what must go down as the strongest maiden field of the season so far). Saw a Gimmethegreenlight colt who impressed us greatly. The colt named Vikram from the Andre Nel yard. Running very green he managed to run 3.5 lenghts behind the greatly impressive Camelot colt Crown Towers. Vikram has been scored based on the attached photo from his sale at the Cape premier yearling sale. He was purchased at R600 000. This colt scores exceptionally well. From Vikram’s scores we can see he’s a strong colt who will be much better next time out and there is no doubt that he will thrive over extra ground. Vikram is out of the mare Vermillion who is a full sister to Red Ray and Brutal force both highly successful sprinters in their own right. Vikrams strength is down to his speed families in his pedigree the 9c 6e and 1s families each consisting of 41 43 and 5 respectively give Vikram that strength that will make him our maiden to follow next time out.
